During June 2024, the Institute for Academic Development Research Staff Career Consultants will be providing dedicated careers support each week.

Careers month was set up to complement our core careers programme, by providing dedicated careers support on popular topics. The month will include weekly briefing sessions, quick career queries and blog posts. Briefing session topics include:

  • Decision Making
  • Narrative CVs
  • Principal Investigator (PI) effective career development conversations
  • Recruitment Consultant Insights

Find out more about what is running and how to get involved on the IAD's Careers Month webpage.

Our career support is open to research staff on fixed term contracts (research assistants and associates, post-docs, and research fellows) and academic teaching staff on fixed term contracts (teaching assistants and teaching fellows). This does not include academic staff on open-ended lecturing contracts
